Winter lights Festival
One of the big events for the local calendar is on this weekend. Get out your winter woolies and put your dancing boots on. The winter Festival is a free event that is sure to excite and delight. There will be video projections, Live Entertainment and even Sway pole performers. It should be a great night, if any of the past events are anything to go by. Don’t forget to stick around till the end for the fireworks. [ INFO ]
Council to end tree mulching days
From July the council will not be offering tree mulching days. There is one last day for Sunbury on the 20th June. From then on you will have to book for a collection or use your tip passes to get rid of them. The other alternative is to use your green bin more often and cut them down to fit. [ INFO ]
Council buys land to improve road Infrastructure
Whether you agree or not? We need some of our suburbs to link with each other and provide other routes. This week the council announced they are buying some land to create better traffic and bike routes in Broadmeadows. The section of land they have acquired has been a long time coming and should alleviate some congestion on Camp Rd. [ INFO ]
