It’s a bit of a mix bag this week and I thought the title Performance sums it up nicely. From performance of the Headliners to good ol’e Broadmeadows performing in the market. See you all on Sunday and if not have a great weekend.

Craigieburn Festival is on in March and the Council have announced the first act of the event. They have gone all out this year and have secured “Melbourne Ska Orchestra”. This 15 piece, two time aria award winning band, is just another one of the reasons why everyone should come down to this free festival. Keep the date open for 21st of March. [ INFO ]

I couldn’t help myself when I saw this article, it is very rare we get one over a top rating suburb and thought I just had to share. Broadmeadows always gets a bad wrap but this week in the housing market performance metrics good ol’ Broady comes out on top. Housing prices have grown over the last year by 10.5 % whereas Toorak house prices has dropped by 14.2%. I keep telling everyone how awesome the place is and it looks like the cat is out of the bag. Ever since I went to their Grand opening of the Smash burger event a few weeks ago. I have become a bit of fanboy. Pockets is known in the older days as a rough place. Arthur, the owner has been turning things around so that the place is more family friendly. He perfected the burger with his masterchef mate and this week they are offering kids meals to try and bring the price down for family’s. It has been well received and he is on the right track to making pockets a place for everyone. Top Job!!! Arthur. [ INFO ]

The No Waste Incinerator Group took their fight to the steps of Parliament this week. The group had a great turnout taking their voices and passion ahead of a debate in the upper house on the petition against a Sunbury Waste Incinerator. This important milestone shows just how important it is to the Sunbury and surrounding residents. The outcome is to fight to have the Sunbury Waste Incinerator completely quashed. [ INFO ]

The 10th Annual Car, Truck and Bike show in is on this Sunday the 22nd of February. This one is a little bit special as it has the backing of Jim Overend the Hume City Councilor. With Jim being the event organiser you know it will be a huge event and attract some awesome machines that you don’t usually see anywhere else. This event is not complete unless there were some live music, stalls and some food. The event is to support a worthy chartity the Isabella and Marcus Paediatric Brainstem Tumour fund.
