The Council Meeting was held on the 27th of July and discussed the below topics.

More than 1000 council workers, including those from Hume rallied today at state Parliament as part of a four-hour strike. Australian Services Union (ASU) members gathered on the steps of Victorian Parliament at noon calling for councils to put meaningful pay increases on the table without further delay and for new Premier Ben Carroll to enact rate capping reform promised by his predecessor, Jacinta Allan.[ INFO ]

The buildings attached to the Broadmeadows Train Station will be going on the market in the next couple of weeks. The Owner is asking for an eye watering $20 Million dollars. This will be the most expensive sale to date for any real estate in the area. Click here for more. [ INFO ]

Sunbury has a new attraction called the Brickiseum. If you have ever found yourself watching Star Wars or the Lego Masters show on Channel 9, then your in for a real treat. The Milestone achieved is the full fit out of the Star Wars Wing of the brickiseum and it contains every Lego model that relates to Star Wars. Go and grab the familiy and spend a few hours connecting with your inner child and creating new memories with your family. If you don’t have kids then try not to accidentally get lost in there. Ok Dancing Queens, don't miss out on an opportunity to have a fantastic dinner and then dance to the songs that made Abba famous. Every Saturday there a brave souls who throw on their best trainers and brave the morning cold in the name of fitness. This group not only go out and train themselves to be disciplined, they also band together and form tight communities. Since we have Winter kind of getting better, it is well worth having a crack at these Park runs to either get fit or start on your summer body.

Let’s face it, we all need someone to give us a hand when it comes to getting back into shape. The best thing I like about Jacob, is he gives you no excuse to hitting your goals. You might say that’s a tall claim but he will literally come to your house or meet you somewhere, so you can do a work out which eliminates the excuse machine.

Jacob has some clients that have had massive success. He is the real deal when it comes to personal trainers and has done this now for a few years on his own. His care for his customers inspired him to start doing bootcamps to make things more cost effective for them and if you’re in Sunbury, then that makes you one of the lucky ones, as it is the only area he covers. This Section is about informing everyone about how Data centres are causing a risk to our health and changing the area we all live in and love. I have been tracking what is going on for the whole area. Please let me know if you’d like me to write anything in particular.

This week in the council meeting a resident question was tabled and during the response the council admitted they have no say in whether a data centre could be built, or if changes could be made even if the area was put at risk. What hope have we got if we are locked out of our own suburbs!! Cr Kurt this week released a post that shows how much he has been advocating against the datacentres.
