Langama Park Lease Renewal
Although there were some dissenting votes by some of the Councillors, Langama Park was successful in having their lease renewed. The Sporting Club is on Council land and has been there since the 1970’s. Councillor Misho made the point that this renewal does not stack up to their Gambling Harm minimisation Policy. Cr Misho went on to say that granting a lease renewal causes greater financial harm in the area. Cr Kurt also remarked that the Sporting Clubs have lost their way and that they were originally set up to support the clubs. The other clubs implied that they get very little from the gambling profits. [ INFO ] go to the 51.22 minute mark to see the councils response.

Vista Cinema - The Italian Job
Marnong Estate are holding an outdoor cinema event next Friday the 06th of March, to start the long weekend with a classic favourite. If you haven’t seen the Italian Job then make sure you get down there, it’s a must see if you like a bit of action and fun in your movie taste. Being an Outdoor Cinema make sure to keep an eye on the weather as the showing will be a weather permitting event. Oh, and don’t forget to take a chair or picnic blanket. This will be a great night out. You must book and these tickets move fast so get in quick. [ INFO ]

The Gap Bar & Grill
This fine establishmant has been serving up mediterranean inspired dishes for the last 4 years. Located in Sunbury they will be closing their doors. If you havent had a meal there then this Saturday will be the last time you will be able to sample some great dishes. As of the 1st of March they will be closing their doors and handing in the key. The owners will be having a bitter sweet moment as they hand those keys over to the new owners with the resturant opening later in March.

Hume Holi festival of Colour
Anzac Park will be a wash with colour this Saturday as the Community come out to celebrate the colourful Holi Festival. Last years event was a smash hit that saw record crowds attend and this year will be no different. It is an amazing day of celebration and fun with food trucks, Market Stalls, Kids Rides as well as Camel & Pony rides. The atmosphere will amped up with a never before seen DJ line up to create a day full of joy.
