Councillor Sherry gave us a Sneak peek at the Winter Lights Festival projections. It’s looking to be another massive event. Saturday 21st June 6pm - 10pm [ click here ]
Hume clean days - This weekend
One thing the council holds is a clean day when we can dump our rubbish for free. The 2 sites where you can take your rubbish are Sunbury and Campbellfield. It’s a good initiative so you don’t get stung by tip fees and to save your tip passes. There are certain things you cant take in. click on the info links below.

Hume to house a Super Computer
I discovered another example this week, of Hume punching above its weight, and doing our bit for medicine and AI. The Next DC data centre in Tullamarine is housing the first AI supercomputer in Australia. It’s purpose is to help with medical research and breakthroughs. Just another reason why the Hume area is so awesome. [ INFO ]
Hume Tech is one step closer
This week we saw the fences go up around the vacant corner of Kangan Tafe opposite Banksia gardens. The new construction is for a centralised technical school which will be shared by local schools in the area to facilitate a technical education. This type of education has been missing from Secondary Schools for quite a while now and have been left upto industry bodies and organisations to take up the education deficit. The proposed construction is due to finish at the start of term 3 2026. To see the proposed building [ INFO ]
